MUST WATCH THRILLER ON IRANIAN EMBASSY SIEGE IN LONDON - 6 DAYS - Review by Kumaran Shanmugam

This movie is based on the true incident of Iranian Embassy Siege on 30th April 1980 in London by separatist terrorists of Arabistan demanding the release of 91 political Prisoners held in Iran and demanding a separate state for Arabistan a small province in Southern Iran bordering Saudi Arabia.

The terrorist organization takes 26 staff of the embassy as hostages. The head of the terrorist organization Salim calls the Inspector of Metropolitan police Max Vernon and demands an audience with their Iranian Embassy and the release of 91 Political Prisoners in Iran.

The Iranian Embassy refuses to negotiate. Inspector Max Vernon tactically acts and gains the trust of Saleem and tries to delay the progress so that the terrorist will get confused and tired which will buy time to organize a SAS team to storm the embassy and neutralize the terrorists and save the hostages. Inspector Max Vernon provides food to the terrorists and hostages. After learning about the refusal of Iranian Embassy to meet their demands the terrorists asks Inspector Max Vernon to instruct the BBC World service to broadcast their Demands. The BBC accepts and broadcasts their demands.

Salim Demands a bus to take them to Heathrow Airport and airplane to escape. After a long wait, these demands are unmet and one hostage is killed. Meanwhile in the SAS team gets prepared for the final assault. The shooting incident on the sixth day inside the embassy results in the SAS team storming the embassy and killing all terrorists and safely releasing the hostages. Margret Thatcher the prime minister of England was greatly benefited in her Political career by The successful solution of the Iranian Embassy Siege that reinstated her as an Iron Lady. Mark Strong who plays the role of the chief negotiator Inspector Max Vernon gives an excellent performance along with Jamie Bell who acts as Rusty Firmin the head of the SAS assault team.

This movie will definitely be a feast for any person interested in history and who lived during the 1980s witnessing to the embassy Siege.
