Premature hair loss is now becoming a one of the major problems for this younger generation. Hair may start thinning with age, but nowadays even in their early 20’s many are losing their hair.

Hair loss can be caused by various reasons like dandruff, hormonal imbalances, hair damage and also stress. Hormonal and hereditary factors are the main cause for hair loss.

We should know the main reason for our hair loss to prevent it. Here are some of the things one should take care for premature hair loss

Why your Diet is Important

Another common cause for hair loss is nutritional deficiencies and an anemic condition. Also, a lack of minerals and the B-complex vitamins can cause hair loss

Nutrients in the bloodstream are essential for the hair follicles. Therefore, an individual’s daily diet plays a vital role in hair health.

Thyroid imbalance can also trigger hair loss. It can be detected by a simple blood test and can also be corrected with medication.

So, maintain a balanced diet. It will maintain your health of your body as well as your hair.

Another cause of hair loss which is often overlooked is, trauma to the hair. The habitual tying of the hair tightly can trigger hair loss, due to the trauma caused to the roots.

Hair loss or hair breakage can also occur due to the use of chemical hair styling, dyeing and coloring.

Chemical treatments can alter the structure of the hair, causing it to become weak and brittle. Hair colors can upset the normal balances of the scalp.

Excessive use if hair dryers, wire rollers, wrong brushes, over combing and so on, can also cause enough trauma leading to the thinning of your hair.

So get rid of those habits to prevent hair loss.

If you have hair loss problem, a head massage is not recommended as it can cause further hair loss because, the roots may be weak and massage prompts more hair to fall.

However, you can apply oil and allow it to stay overnight for a better scalp. Pure coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, sesame oil can be used.

Warmed oil can help in better absorption. Apply oil and then move the scalp gently, in small circular movements, using only the finger tips.

Pay attention to the shampoo

The cleansing of scalp is important, but mild shampoo should be used.

Be aware that some anti-dandruff shampoos have a harsh action on the scalp. They may help tp control the condition initially, but the problem recurs.

This may due to the fact that they disturb the normal balance, or stimulate the scalp further, leading to an excessive build-up of dead cells and pore-clogging.

Hence, the scalp and hair should be washed only twice or thrice a week, using very little shampoo.

Opt for Herbal Treatments to prevent Premature hair loss

Premature hair loss can be treated with herbal hair care products containing natural ingredients recommended by Ayurvedha like shikakai, amla, reetha, brahmi, bhringaraj, etc.

These herbs restore the normal balance and also have curative properties. They also know to check hair loss and promote hair growth.

Unlike chemical shampoos, these herbal products have a gentle action on the hair and scalp.

Adopt changes in your Diet and lifestyle

Diet and lifestyle are an integral part of the treatment for premature hair fall.

As mentioned in the first point, diet is essential. Fresh fruits, raw salads, sprouted grains and lentils as well as dairy products should be included un daily diet.

Drink six to eight glasses of water daily and include fresh juices of fruits and vegetables in your diet.

Some amount of daily exercises is useful as it increases oxygenation and reduces stress. Have a good hour of sleep every night. Insomnia also causes hair fall.
