Hair loss or hair breakage can also occur due to the use of chemical hair styling, dyeing and coloring.
Chemical treatments can alter the structure of the hair, causing it to become weak and brittle. Hair colors can upset the normal balances of the scalp.
Excessive use if hair dryers, wire rollers, wrong brushes, over combing and so on, can also cause enough trauma leading to the thinning of your hair.

Head massage can be harmful
If you have hair loss problem, a head massage is not recommended as it can cause further hair loss because, the roots may be weak and massage prompts more hair to fall.
However, you can apply oil and allow it to stay overnight for a better scalp. Pure coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, sesame oil can be used.
Warmed oil can help in better absorption. Apply oil and then move the scalp gently, in small circular movements, using only the finger tips.
Pay attention to the shampoo
The cleansing of scalp is important, but mild shampoo should be used.
Be aware that some anti-dandruff shampoos have a harsh action on the scalp. They may help tp control the condition initially, but the problem recurs.
This may due to the fact that they disturb the normal balance, or stimulate the scalp further, leading to an excessive build-up of dead cells and pore-clogging.
Hence, the scalp and hair should be washed only twice or thrice a week, using very little shampoo.

Drink six to eight glasses of water daily and include fresh juices of fruits and vegetables in your diet.
Some amount of daily exercises is useful as it increases oxygenation and reduces stress. Have a good hour of sleep every night. Insomnia also causes hair fall.
